"Icche---hoe chhili moner majhare...chhili amar putul-khelay, prabhate shib-pujar belay,to're ami bhengechhi ar gorechhi"
Just like this tagore poem..the mother plays with her son's emotions...with his wishes. I think this scenario more or less is quite common amongst the people..who are the only child of their parents. That is why it seems everyone is watching the perfect portrayal his or her own story. Some moments were a millions bucks...like.. when adolescent Shamik rushes to her mother's maternal house to take her with him, when Shamik confronts his mother for the first time and when Shamik couldn't help himself and burst out in tears at jayanti during the friends gathering...these moments are very very close to my heart.
A real emotional bengali movie that i come across after "Autograph". Sohini Sengupta deserves a national award and Samadarshi too.
And lastly...songs were touching and very appropriately used throughout. I can't forget the Anushe Anadil number.."Baikuntha asore..".
